PhotoHunt - Thirteen

This one challenged my imagination a bit. Then I thought, there must be a book around the house somewhere with Thirteen in the title. So I present to you ‘The Thirteen-Gun Salute’ by Patrick O’Brian.

I have to admit I haven’t read it so I can’t tell you what it is like. I have seen the film of his first book though, which I did enjoy.

I have this habit lately of checking out what is in the background of photos, that big pot would look good on my verandah. Am going to do a search on this book now :-)

I used books in my choice today, too. I'm not familiar with the one you've shown but will look it up.
Have a great weekend!

We're all having to "stretch" a bit for this one, aren't we? Good idea!

Nunyaa - I better go and tidy my garden up then!! I am always taking pictures by that window. I like the pot too, but it is rather heavy.

Karen & Deb - Thanks, I painted the figurine myself.

Rebecca - yes it was a bit of a struggle and I didn't want to look at the others before I thought of something :-)

That strange sound you might be able to hear is hubby kicking himself! We're both great Patrick O'Brian fans, and all his Aubrey books are on the shelf here! Very nice shot

Get the feeling from your post that your house contains many books...! ;b

Dragonstar - it would have been funny if we had chosen the same theme :-)

Ytsl - Yes there are hundreds!

We have lots of Patrick O'Brian books in our house (not me, the "old scientist" is the fan) but I never thought of that.
The lady looks a bit disdainful however, obviously not to her taste either.

Good choice. I haven't read it either, but I work in a book store, and the series is very popular.

Perfect for this week's theme. This is the first book I've seen in this week's hunt.

Nice one. I love Patrick O'Brian. The Aubrey/Maturin series are excellent, possibly the best historical novels written. Happy weekend

I have always seen books of Patrick O' Brian but haven't read any of them. Sad but true!

Anyway, great entry for this week!

Great idea! I haven't seen any book titles in my PH travels today yet.

jmb - Maybe her man has gone to see and she doesn't approve ;-)

Jan - I would love to work in a bookshop :-)

Blur Mommy - I found it difficult to think of something.

Bob - It is fun to try and think of things and see what everyone else comes up with :-)

Jams - Perhaps I should give them a go, the whole series sits on the shelf.

Nunyaa - Thanks :-)

The Author - Thanks :-)
