Today is International Women's Day, so this post is dedicated to all women:International Women's Day has been observed since in the early 1900's, a time of great expansion and turbulence in the industrialized world that saw booming population growth and the rise of radical ideologies.

Thank you for marking this very important day. We are so lucky here in the UK to have our freedom of thought and expression, compared to so many others.
Ellee - Thank you :-) even though things are not good here, they are still better than other places!
I didn't realise it had been going that long. We hear very little about it.
I just read that the greatest contribution to women has been the washing machine. What do you think?
Liz - It only seems to crop up on the blogs!
James - I think in one may that is right. It frees up so much time to do other things! Oh!Mmm! gives me idle time to waist on campaigns ;-)
*Embarrasses James.
Not true James. It was the vibrator which was considered a medical device, providing at your GP a 'procedure' which 'relaxed' women nd cured them of stress ,tension and depression. It was the turn of the century. The vibrator was affixed to an electronic arm. And no one considered this medical procedure 'sexual.'
Uber - Now I am wondering what they were thinking about to create such a device!!!
