Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"
He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought --
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought
And as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!
One, two! One, two! and through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.
"And has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!"
He chortled in his joy.
'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves

Huh? I guess that means bad, or at least weird. I don't get it you know.
I so hope the children of today read Lewis Carroll, be a shame if not.
jmb - you did get it ;-) I was having a silly messy day! It got messier later which I will blog about after my lunch time meeting.
Nunyaa - It would be a shame.
I'm assuming it was a brillig day, Cherie.
Cherrypie, unconnected to this post but I read your comment at James' site about my blog html needing sorting because there are some ... now, I've forgotten! I don't understand html stuff. Could you email me with advice please if you have time?

I think Lewis Carroll is good, but I don't like the wagonny pikcher!!!!
Oh dear. That sort of day!
James - I was more like a brollyg day ;-)
Liz - I will have proper look and try.
Bob - It is a rather scary wagonywokky isn't it ;-)
Dragonstar - Yes it was! Today has been much better so far ;-)
Speaking of Lewis Carroll, this is disappointing:

Lordsomber - Very, there are some classic titles listed there. Throwing them away rather than passing them on is rather 'Fahrenheit 451'. Judging by my nephews, youngsters today don't really read very much which I find quite sad!
