It's even better that that.

With the death of Nero AD 69 has become known as the 'Year of the Four Emperors'.

After Galba got the chop then came Otho, Vitellius with order only being restored when Vespasian ( the first Flavian Emperor) took the throne.

Step forward Balls, Johnston, Milliband. Your time has come!

Grendel - Nice one ;-)

Nunyaa - I think you are the lucky one there :-)

Ellee - Sadly they don't, you would think that we would learn from our mistakes but we don't seem to be able to manage that.

Maybe politicians don't believe in history, only posterity.

Dragonstar - Yes i think that posterity is their main concern. Sad isn't it?

An elderly lady (83) recently said that in her youth the old folks used to say: 'The troughs remain always the same; only the pigs change.'

Interesting story.... :-)
Have heard so much about Gordie... it feels like time they get rid of him, just like in the story ;-)

Sean - What an astute lady ;-)

Eve - There are rumblings within the ranks, they are fed up with him already!
