The Office Christmas Do

It was a bit early, but today was our office Christmas lunch. A good time was had by all, girls on the dance floor and guys in the bar. In between all that we had a good chat over lunch and I had a little giggle with one of my friends over a shared unfortunate circumstance.

After the do it is normal to go on to a local pub and while the hours away. Due to complicated transport arrangements and family visits it wasn't viable for me to go with them. I did feel really guilty though when I realised people were expecting me to go and that I would be missed...

Later when I visited my parents they unexpectedly gave me a special gift for helping them both out when my Dad was in hospital.

The day has left me with a warm and Christmassy feeling, so time for some Christmassy music:

I hope your dad is ok. I keep getting pressure to attend work related xmas events - I have steadfastly resisted...

It's almost 20 years since I was at a really boozy Christmas do. Used to think they were wonderful. Not so sure now.

A well-deserved present. Good on you.

Calum

It does seem early for an office do! Glad you had a good time and an unexpected present from your parents.

Luisa - I am holding onto the fun things to keep me cheerful ;-) :-) Thank You and hope you have a great weekend too xoxoxoxoxoxox

Mutley - Thank you, I do too. I don't blame you for trying to avoid the work does, they are mostly awful! This one was organised by my line manager so it was bound to be different from the norm ;-)

Calum - I think a lot of people show themselves up at the office do! Never been there, not my idea of fun. & Thanks X

Welshcakes - Thank You xx
