This year the Catholic Church have moved St Patrick's Day. Normally it is celebrated on the 17th March but this year that clashes with the second day of holy week. According to Church rules the feast day of St Patrick is not as important as the Monday before Easter and it had to move. So this year St Patrick's day was celebrated on the 15th March.
You're 30% Irish |
You're probably less Irish than you think you are... But you're still more Irish than most. |

Hi Crushed, I think the Irishness was about right for me ;-) I have Irish ancestors on my mothers side and Scottish ancestors on my fathers side.
Thank You Luiz.
Luisa, I didn't really need to take the test either ;-)
As to papal infallibility, I think that depends on whether or not you are a practicing Catholic!
I did that test a while back and I came out with a similar result. I suppose the harp on one of my pasports counts for nothing!
In reality it tests how Oirish you are!
I think we must be the same amount of Oirish then ;-)
I seem to be 50% Irish - how did that happen?!!
I am not sure... I thought you were a little bit Welsh and a little bit English with a bit of Sicilian ;-) :-)
Well, I scraped 25% - and it was only that much because I'm somebody's mum and I cook all the dinners!
There's been some confusion over Paddy's Day here, mostly leading to a 4-day booze-up!
I didn't celebrate St. Patricks Day but I did your test, Lol am 35% Irish, thank goodness you cant see my answers.
I am glad you can't see mine ;-)
I am not at all Irish. Which is about right!
I didn't know St patrick's Day had been changed this year. How strange. Nobody told Google either!
My word verifier is definitely Gaelic!
The didn't tell the BBC either, they seemed to be celebrating yesterday too!
