An Unfortunate Start...

...to the day!!!

A few days ago Welshcakes had a fun thread asking what we kept by the side of the bed!

This was my list:

Bedside lamp
Several Books
Lipsalve
A couple of Tissues
My watch
A pint of water
My glasses (I wear contacts mostly)
Pad and pen in bedside cabinet
My handbag on the floor - it is my lifeline... I keep my mobile phone in there too (I can't do without it even though I don't us it much! I know my friends are close by).

Today the glass of water decided to escape all over the books... Luckily the watch was absent and my handbag managed to escape!!!

P.S. there is still a problem with my delivery (only half of it arrived!!!) but at least the long awaited photos turned up ;-)

And when you try and dry books they're never the same afterwards! At least your watch and bag escaped.

Liz, I agree they are never quite the same. I am so fussy with my books, I hate the covers getting bent and the corners getting worn! If you look in my bookcase you can't tell if I have read a book or not ;-) Thankfully only one got damaged and it was only slightly!

Will get on to the tag :-)

James, I don't know how it happened it's not like me!! I knocked the glass over and caught it all in one action. But most of the books were rescued :-) and it makes me smile now :-)
