A is for Alnwick Garden

Mrs Nesbitt has started a new round of ABC Wednesday and I have decided to give it a go. For the third round a new dedicated blog has been set up to make it easier to view other peoples work.

I have decided to theme my entries. I was torn between Architecture and Gardens, in the end Garden theme won out. Even though I have blogged about it recently, I have chosen on Alnwick Garden for my first entry.

Time to Relax ;-)

Reserved Seat!

Tree House

Only Dead Fish do ;-)

That looks a lovely place. I like gardens that can incorporate sculpture naturally. Especially with words!

I've only ever been to Alnwick Gardens once, when I was probably too young to appreciate it. Many thanks for reminding me of its beauty.

I love the 'dead fish' stone!!

That photo of the flower, with the bee, I love macro shots like that.
Bit of advice sought here: if you take your own photos have you ever tried, or been able to, take a photo of a housemartin? Just that I have been trying for a while and can't do it, they're too fast.

We keep saying we must visit Alnwick gardens. The problem is that whenever I get near the town I'm overwhelmed by the need to visit Barter Books

Sally - Thank You :-)

Liz - I think you would love this garden, it has all sorts of unusual features.

Suburbia - Thank you :-)

Becky - Thanks, the stone is a symbol of the struggle to design the garden.

jmb - I think it is called a cone flower.

Gary - You ought to give it another visit, it is very photogenic.

James - Thank You :-)

Ginro - I don't always get the bees sitting still I have one of a very blurry bee somewhere! There might be a group on flickr that could help with photographing housemartins.

Richard - I got to do both :-) It is an amazing book shop isn't it?

Aileni - It was September last year and there wasn't a single drop of rain all week.

Eve - Glad you like them :-)

Leslie - Thanks, I really love that garden :-)
