The first photo was taken at Bamburgh Castle, the second and third were taken at Cragside and the final photograph is taken at one of my fave places to stay - The Coach House at Crookham.

I'm sorry to admit that I have never visited Northumberland. I hope to one day, and shall certainly visit its gardens.

Thanks for putting pictures with a name that I have heard. I have a CD from Nova Scotia with songs of the sea on it. There is a song that talks about The Northumbrian Straits. Thanks for the informative, and beautiful post.
