Firstly when I got home from work my computer hung when I started it up. When I did get it to work I found that Pipex email isn't working again... I hope that I don't have any urgent emails needing attention!
Then I had a couple of bills that needed paying and I also wanted to extend my Flickr Pro account, which is about to run out. I started with the Flickr account and had to amend the expiry date against my card. I tried a couple of times, but it told me I was using the wrong type of cards details? I gave up and tried to pay via PayPal instead. I was told that my card had been rejected by the bank.
I phoned the 24 hour customer help line and the phone line was faulty so I couldn't hear what was being said properly. I was put on hold whilst some details were checked and suddenly the line went dead and I had to call back. It seems that even though Flickr were saying there was something wrong with my card it was actually processing an odd amount of money which is why my card was blocked.
Now I have to wait until the finance department can sort it out...
*sighs*

I'm not. I got back from the pub the other night to find my broadband down. I rang the support line. I found that the person at the other end of the line and I had a small accent problem. I don't quite get English spoken by a Malabar speaker, he doesn't follow Irate Brummie.
After two minutes I just launched 'Listen mate, cut the fucking questions. I pay the bill. You provide the line, you provide the service. So the problem is your end. Now I don't give a flying fuck WHy there is a problem. And I ain't checking around with the fucking sockets either. It was working an hour ago, logic tells you, problem is your end. Now you put me on hold and you go find out why my broadband is down,'Mike', because I am annotating this entire conversation, if me broadband isn't back on by the time my alarm goes tomorrow morning, you'll be spending most of the afternoon detailing with your supervisor every detail of this conversation. Get me?'
I woke up to find Broadband mysteriously working fine...
Seriously, its the only way to deal with corporations. Tell the jobsworths, what their job is worth.

My bank account is sorted, they phoned back within the hour.
Email is a problem for everyone on Pipex. They did actually make a service announcement on the page this time! I know they read my post about not keeping users up to date so... In any case I will be showing my dissatisfaction by moving ISP.
The flickr/yahoo page that messed up my bank access sucks - I will be using PayPal next time!
