The first picture is my parents on their wedding day with their parents. The second picture is me with my brother, I was 6 at the time it was taken.

Both photos are so lovely! You and your brother are sure cuties. :D
Both photos are beautiful! It's great you have a photo of the begining of you family!
As soon as they loaded, I said, "Awww . . . " They are such a nice couple of shots. I have a picture similar to the first one from 1948 of my grandparents. Love the heritage photos!
I love looking at old photos. Not only do you see different people, but a whole different time period.
Great photos! I'm also collecting old photos of my family.
Great choices for this week's theme Cherie!
Very lovely photos. The quality is so good, too!
I have some very vintage photos up for my Photo Hunt today! I hope you can get a chance to see and leave your link.

Very nice photos, your brother and you are equally cute...
Goodness, it looks like a whole different culture altogether, doesn't it? You and your brother look like real children! (I mean, not all done up in designer labels and slick haircuts!) How times have changed.
I am really enjoying this theme. You are lucky to have some older photos. I don't have many...Michelle..

Deb has pinched my words!
The innocence and simplicity of life then.
Thanks.
I'm late visiting, because I was baby-sitting my 4 month old grand-daughter yesterday, and my poor computer was neglected as a result. At least it was suitable for the Family theme ;)
I love your parents' wedding photo, and the one of you and your brother is priceless! What a lovely shot that is.
Lovely photos Cherie...your jumpers look like they have been lovingly hand knitted. My God mother used to knit all my woolies for me when I was a child, she even kinitted me a swimming costume that used to stretch to double its size when wet!

So Lovely to see these picture..
Cherie, you look so innocent and cute! :-)
Thanks for sharing,
wishes!

Doesn't your Mum look beautiful? And those two little blondies, one a real tow head. Have a good week Cherie.
I love those pics. I think you look very much like your mother.
It's practically impossible to date pictures of Children from about 1950 to the mid 1980s. After that the brand culture took over and parents, well some parents, stated buying their kids Paul Smith T-shirts at £50 a pop!
Leslie - Thank you :-)
Tammy - I need to get some more scanned and uploaded to my PC I think.
Jenny - I love old photos too.
Alice - They do give a nice insight into how life was :-)
Brita - I do have one are two that are even older.
Jams - Thank You.
Mrs Mecomber - Will come over and check yours out soon.
Mimi - Thank You :-)
Deb - I hate all that designer stuff. I still don't do it, but my brother does sometimes ;-)
Rambling Woods - I love looking back on them. It is a shame you don't have many.
Calum - Yes it was, it is a shame things have changed I think.
Dragonstar - Thank You :-) I am sure you must have enjoyed your babysitting.
Trubes - Yes my Mum knitted them for us. I don't like the sound of your swimming costume very much though!
Devika - Thank You. I was very quiet then ;-)
JMB - I think my Mum looks beautiful too. My brother kept his blond hair for years. All the girls used to swoon over him.
Ellee - I wondered if someone would notice that. I must post another picture I found of the two of us sitting together looking like sisters.
Richard - I think the old times were better. Kids aren't allowed to be kids anymore missing out on some of the joys of childhood.
You have quite a naughty expression.. ;)
Richard Havers is right about children - but I am trying to place myself in relation to the wedding picture. The Sixties, I believe.
Those older photos are the ones to keep.
Crushed - We used to fight a lot, so we were probably plotting something!
Aileni - I am impressed, it was 1957!
James - I have quite a few scanned in, but when I have time I need to borrow some more :-)
Ooh, your brother looks like as if butter wouldn't melt!
Liz - I think both you and I know it would though ;-)
